NEW YORK, NY (SMI-GLOBAL-PHILANTROPHY-OCT. 12-17, 2023)- The Global Lyme Alliance non-profit organization known for advocating to cure Lyme and other tick-borne diseases celebrated its annual 2023 Fundraising Gala last Thursday October 12, honoring US Actor Christopher Meloni, Kenzie Vath(Lyme Warrior) & philanthropists Bob and Karen Kelly during a sold-out fine dining, and award ceremony presentation at Cipriani's 42nd Street in the heart of New York City.
This year 2023 gala was hosted by Rosanna Scotto (Fox Good Day New York) as Master of Ceremonies, and electrifying performance by US Iconic singer-songwriter/ & 80's/90' Teen-Idol Debbie Gibson to closed-out the gala in style.
ABOUT DEBBIE GIBSON: A US prodigy singer-songwriter/record producer and Multi-platinum Pop artist from New York-who during the late 80'/90' at the age of 16' captivated the younger audience, and the world with her splashy 1987 album debut "Out of the Blue ".
The single " Foolish Beat " reached the Billboard Hot 100 #1-hit single in the charts on June 25, 1988, making her the youngest female artist to produce, write and perform at a Billboard Hot 100 number-one single a record that she still hold until now. In addition to #1 Foolish Beat", other singles from the " Out of the Blue" album that reached the top-5 in the charts were "Only in My Dreams", 'Shake Your Love", and "Out of the Blue"
After the released of the " Out of the Blue " album and having 5 successful singles hits in the top-20, and sold-Out concerts around the world, the "Out of The Blue" became # 1 hit album with the Recording Industry Association of America eventually certified it a Triple Platinum at the end of 1988.
In 1989, She released her second album " Electric Youth" with the single " Lost in Your Eyes" reaching the US #1 single-hit in the Billboard charts once again and made her the only songwriter with all her singles to reached the charts top 20. Electric Youth subsequent singles included Electric Youth, No More Rhyme and "We could be together" and the album eventually became a Double-Platinum certified by the RIAA due to her unparalleled success, and for Gibson being the youngest female artist to achieved both an album and single #1 hit at the same time in the charts.
Debbie Gibson Sold 16,000,000 (Millions) overall and she is an artist that was born ahead of her time. Now in days with so much technology available to promote any music artist worldwide those 16,000,000 could it be easily equal to more than that in Today's consumer market.
Th ASCAP honored her as " Songwriter of the Year" alongside Bruce Springsteen in 1989.
